Announcing the Pictorus New Eagle Beta!

Pictorus is a control system productivity multiplier, from design and prototyping all the way through productionizing your code. Now you can pair our best-in-class prototype-to-production software system with industry leading controller hardware; New Eagle’s Raptor platform.

Create model-based development controls in Pictorus, generate memory-safe Rust code, and then compile and deploy them to robust automotive grade controllers. New Eagle control units offer a broad selection of input/output pins including discrete IO like analog, digital, and PWM as well as protocols like CAN FD, LIN, and SENT. They run on the venerable and performant Infineon TriCore microcontroller line, now with industry-first Rust support enabled by the HighTec Rust compiler. All this functionality is delivered in a ruggedized housing designed for use in harsh and critical environments like automotive, defense, and aerospace applications.

The Beta

The beta is targeting the New Eagle Raptor GCM111 as the first supported ECU. This general control module is equipped with an Infineon TriCore TC367, a broad array of discrete IO, and CAN FD as well as other buses making it an excellent choice for a variety of controls use cases.

Pictorus is testing basic functionality internally and over the coming months the full Raptor platform functionality will be integrated, enabling the seamless deployment and telemetry workflow.

Current Beta Features:

  • Integration of Raptor platform and HighTec compiler into Pictorus to allow building a GCM111 binary in the cloud
  • Pictorus IO blockset running on New Eagle’s Raptor platform

In Development:

  • Flash modules from the cloud using device manager
  • In-app telemetry
  • Calibration workflow and XCP integration
